Is Your Mind Getting in the Way of Your Success?

Have you ever experienced fear of failure, or fear of success? Fear can sabotage your life and your business. Yet, every entrepreneur experiences it to some degree during their business.

Look around at everyone you admire who has achieved success. They’ve felt the same fears you have, even if they may show up looking a bit different. They’ve achieved success by finding  solutions and pushing through to the other side of the fear. They DO NOT have something you DON’T have. It’s tempting to look around and be certain that everyone else has the certain ‘it’ and that’s the key to success.

That might be true if the certain ‘it’ is their ability to push through the fear. Beyond that, you probably have more in common with them than you realize.

Let’s look at the fear of success for a moment. Are you aware of ever having experienced that?  If you have, rest assured, you’re in very good company.

Ask yourself: What would happen if I realized massive success in my business?  What would be the upside of that success be? What would the drawbacks be? Make a list of the possible outcomes and note the ‘good’ and the ‘bad. It seems obvious that everyone would want to be successful. Yet, we often have deep-seated fears about the actual success which holds us back.

Another big fear that keeps people from realizing their business dreams is fear of what others think. Surely, they wouldn’t think you were good enough (who really thinks that – could it be you by any chance?). They might think you haven’t been around long enough. They might think there are too many established, respected people in your field already – who needs one more and how would you establish yourself?

Fear of the opinion of others can really get in the way of your business growth.

There is a great solution to eliminate these fears we all deal with. It’s elegant, it’s simple and it truly works wonders. It’s called EFT or  Emotional Freedom Technique. EFT is a simple yet powerful tool. It works using a simple acupressure technique – you ‘tap’ with your fingers on specific acupuncture points (usually a series of 10 points) while focusing on the issue or behavior you are working on. As fear recedes, the thinking part of the brain is able to evaluate the problem from a new point of view and make new decisions. This can happen in a matter of minutes.

EFT is powerful and effective and works because during an EFT treatment information that resides in the conscious or subconscious mind rises your conscious awareness allowing you to ‘erase negative emotions, beliefs and associations. You can use EFT to rid yourself of fears and move on to embrace your success! It’s simple and it works and truly, isn’t that what we’re all looking for?
