Our Natural Talent
As far as we’ve come, we still have unique challenges to face – in the workplace and in business. So many of us live in a lack mentality, particularly in the area of finances. This mentality keeps us from realizing our full potential. It keeps us from really showing up and sharing our gifts, talents and passions with the world.
How can we, when the voice in our head is telling us that we can’t, that what we have to contribute isn’t good enough, isn’t ready yet, isn’t fully realized? These beliefs keep us from showing up and stepping into our power and doing what is ours to do. From giving what is ours to give and as a result getting what is ours to get.
What are you focusing on?
The lack mentality holds us back. Worse, it leads to depression; it increases stress and can lead to disease. You suffer and those around you suffer. Even the people you don’t get to reach with your gifts suffer, because they don’t get to benefit from your talent, your heart and your gifts.
What do you really believe about yourself? About your talents and abilities? About what you want and deserve out of life? What really moves you? What do you love so much you’d do it if you didn’t get paid for it? Well, what if you did get paid and paid fantastically well? For me, that passion is helping other women change their lives and their financial circumstances.
And believe me; I’ve had to wrestle with the ‘money issue’ because I would do it for free! I also believe people value what they pay for and step up to the plate when there’s money involved. And, I know to value my own work and contribution, a financial exchange is an expression of that exchange of value. For me in my business and for you in yours.
Balance
Part of life balance is finding the intersection of what you want to do – expression of your talents and gifts – and the financial reward for sharing those with others. It’s about investing in your own personal and business development so that you can do what you love and earn well for it too.
What could your life look like if you were willing to live full out, to really explore what you were meant to do? What you’re here to accomplish. It’s there inside you waiting to be tapped.
My passion is helping transformational entrepreneurs to tap into their greatness and then teaching them how to take that greatness and build their fortune. Was it easy for me to take the leap of faith and make this my career? Some days it was a breeze, other days (and weeks) it’s been enormously challenging. Why? Because we all face the same fears and the same roadblocks. When you’re willing to overcome those, because your desire to succeed is greater than your fear, that’s when life gets really vibrant and fun.
When you are doing what you are meant to do, that’s when you’re living full out. And who are you to play small? To quote the brilliant Marianne Williamson from her book Return to Love (although this is often incorrectly attributed to Nelson Mandela)
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
